Hey, I’m Saloni, founder of Widdershins Partners.

ADVISOR | INVESTOR | LEADER

The name is a playful nod to the term "widdershins" – meaning anticlockwise – because I help startups avoid the headaches of having to go backwards and undo costly people and operational mistakes down the road.

I've held key people, talent, and finance leadership roles at high-growth tech companies, building foundations from the ground up. I've had the privilege of leading organizations through critical growth phases, transforming chaotic early-stage operations into well-oiled machines that can scale effectively & efficiently.


WHERE I’VE BEEN

I’m currently Vice President of People at Tailscale, leading the people functions and organizational growth. Previously, I established critical people & talent foundations at Tecton AI (acq by Databricks), where I optimized processes using data-driven approaches from the ground up. Before that, I spent 6 years scaling Sentry's G&A function from Series A through Series E, taking the team from 15 to 350 people and building the organizational backbone for hypergrowth. Earlier in my career, I joined GitHub as their founding finance hire during the bootstrap days, building & scaling sustainable finance operations that supported three years of explosive global growth from 30-450 people.

I’ve been a fractional consultant for many startups in varying industries, helped companies through M&As, led pre- and post-IPO due diligence, and a slight lifetime ago, helped wound down operations at a company going through a Section 11 fire sale. One might say, I’ve almost seen it all.
